is located in Puebla, a charming city southeast of Mexico City. Puebla鈥檚 historic city center is filled with colonial churches, cobblestone plazas and museums, and the city has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its beautiful architecture. The region is also well known for traditional arts, especially fine pottery and ceramics. Known also as the 鈥渃ity of the student,鈥 Puebla boasts plenty of modern amenities, with thriving shopping centers, restaurants, cafes and nightlife.
ISEP students immerse themselves in Mexican culture and daily life by taking university classes with local students and living in a residence hall on campus or with a host family in the community. UPAEP offers a wide variety of subjects in Spanish including engineering, business, social sciences, health sciences and arts. A few courses in each department are also offered in English. One Spanish as a second language course during the semester is included in ISEP benefits. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups. Internships, community service and volunteering opportunities are all available, and excursions are planned throughout the semester. ISEP students can be matched with a local UPAEP 鈥渂uddy鈥 to help them navigate life in Puebla and on campus.
